    Run/Walk Toggle Indicator

I'm sure anyone who's done moogle runs will agree that sneaking by those tree guardians is annoying enough as it is. What makes it worse is when you're killed because you are unsure of whether you are in run or walk mode, and even if you only take one step to try and figure it out you'll get aggro 99% of the time. I'm completely in support of keeping this as a game mechanic, as it helps keep things a little more interesting, but the fact that the player is punished because the dev team overlooked such an important detail just isn't right.

Easy solution, implement an indicator on the UI displaying whether you are in run or walk mode. Yes, under most circumstances it isn't hard to keep track yourself, but there will inevitably be situations where you forget. And considering how easy it should be to implement something like this, there's really no reason NOT to. And for anyone who doesn't like it, allow players to disable it in the config menu, and everyone can be happy. That's my two cents anyway. Hopefully I'm not the only one who feels this way.

For now, go to walk mode and don't change it. If you want to run, go to active mode (it's the same speed as running). When you go back to passive mode you will still be in walk mode.

Hahaha, oh man that quest is russian roulette. I set my walk-run key to NUMPAD-0 so that I know when I do and don't hit it. Good luck knowing any other way. Also I feel sorry for controller players.

This is making it too easy, holding your hand. The whole point is to be aware and cautious, do you risk walking or wait for them to move? its all suspense. But I guess that is only nice the first time, not the 50th time.

If you tap a opposite direction (behind you) you wont walk you just turn, so from this depending on the speed of the turn you will know if you are walking or not, they wont aggro on this.

    This should help...

Once you turn WALK MODE on, it will stay on until you log out.

-If you die and get a rez or return, you will still be walking

If you pull your weapon out, you will be RUNNING so you have to stand still around tree if your weapon is out
-It takes the game a few seconds to realize when you put your weapon away... safest thing to do is put your weapon away, then wait 2 seconds before moving.......... this will ensure your character is back to walking

Using Swift Song (archer) increases walk speed - pretty useful and its an AoE!

I highly recommend trying it once on gamepad analog. It can be fun!

I do suggest combat mode to move, otherwise always walk until a walk/run icon is present.
