    What title says:

    If you were part of the DEV team what adjustment will you make to Summoner?
    There are so many threads regarding how unsatisfied people are with SMN in 4.0.

    To make life easier for the Dev team regarding as to what we want from the class,let's gather EVERYTHING and post what changes or adjustments the Summoner class should go thru.

    Giving a katana sword to him and renaming the job to "Sammuner" would solve most of the DPS and rotation problems. *duck* *cover* :-P

    Give them a 3rd DoT, make it the replacement for Bio which got lost when merged with Bio II via talent upgrade.
    Simplify the rotation. Increase the potencies a bit.
    Have Physick turn into Sustain. Sustain can be set to automatic or toggle. When automatic, whenever your pet takes damage, it drains a tiny amount of mana and heals your pet until its HP is full, then turns off. When in toggle, player has to turn it on and off.
    Make Egi's larger and more impressive by default, then grant ALL players the option to change the size of summoner pets on their individual screens.
    Add Shiva, Ramuh, and Leviathan Summons.

    Separate it from Scholar.

    Let's see, for all potentially fun reasons, I would change the weapon to plush dolls like Lulu had in FFX.

    Summons would be available in pvp again.

    The Dreadwyrm Trance would be subject to change on a glamour basis so it would not have to be just Bahamut nor Demi-Bahamut but perhaps for example Hellfire Trance, allowing you to summon Demi-Ifrit.

    Make pets a priority of the job and upgrade Egi looks to be closer to a cuter version of a primal (like something from world of FF.)

    Give energy drain an upgrade from dot damage by 25 potency each, allowing for better use and self healing.

    Add effect to Physick to have increased healing to pets, allowing for healing to pets to return. Because your healer will not heal your ego nono.

    Oh, also lower the cd on shadowflare from 60sec to 30 sec.

    Allow for a small beneficial mana regen from dots as they reach there last few ticks (nothing major just helpful)

    Slightly lower the cd on aetherflow from 60 sec to 45-50 sec, allowing for a better potentially better flowing rotation.
    This may result in slightly lower damage to equal out dps but still allows some enjoyment.

    easy "hot fix" adjustments:

    – ruin 4 procs should replace ruin 2 instead of ruin 3 and therefor become instant cast as well -> would increase dwt and bt overall dps.
    - reduce ruin 3 mp cost or buff that laughable potency in a serious way
    – aetherflow adjustments like sch got (cd reduce)
    – enkindle cd reduce to 60 sec. (cmn enkindle isnt that kind of impact skill that deserves a 3 min cd anymore...)
    – reduce shadowflare cd to 30 sec in its current state
    – make devotion an aoe buff or raise single buff potency to 15-20%
    – change physic to sustain with smn job change quest
    – adjust pet potency to real player potency (this "fake" numbers are just bs...)
    – fix pet(s) responsibility // pet skill chaining
    – don't bring old or new dots up again -> give them sch instead


    completely new mechanics/revamp:

    – remove pets at all -> change them to stances with one-hit fininsher + status buffs or debuffs.
    – give us the opportunity to place Bahamut on a fix spot without following us step by step - whats the current sense of his 1000000000y range anyway?
    – tbd...

    gotta go to a meeting maybe I fill this list further more later on ^^

    All these suggestions to remove pets from the only pet-based dps class. Maybe you guys don't want a "Summoner" and really just want a Warlock?
    If anything, SE needs to reduce SMN's reliance on personal damage and focus more on abilities that command and augment their summons. Like the job name suggests.

    Did you ever even play SMN? With how clunky pet control is in this game nobody wants to deal with them anymore. And especially rely on them for decent dps... ANd no SMN is not a pet job at all, it's a mix of jobs and pets aren't even on the 1st place. Summoner shouldn't even be a pet job, something like they did with bahamut is much closer to actual FF summoner. Too bad it's so poorly designed lol. People are asking for revamp and removing of egis exactly cause they want actual summoner job and not this messy mix of things.
