    This. The fact that they said almost next to nothing in the last live letter makes me really wonder if they are aware of the situation at all.

    Sadly people are more worried about FFXI summons, egi glamours, or revamping SMN into another game's version rather than trying to offer ways to help the job while keeping it as FFXIV's SMN.

    It's understandable that Yoshi could be annoyed by it.. : /

    Reset it to what? FFXI SMN?

    Resetting the job doesn't help FFXIV SMN because that means it's not the FFXIV SMN anymore obviously. So no. It's not really help. And it dang sure isn't something they can do in a patch.

    Posted this in another thread of the dps boards. Just a wish list of possible changes, some more out there than others.

    *Change Devotion to affect all party members.
    *Add Virus - 60 Potency for 15s. Recast time 45s.
    *Change Shadowflare potency from 50 to 75.
    *Maybe add the Quickened Aetherflow to SMN to help with mana and time gap between DWT and AF cooldown.
    *Add Sustain back.

    Ruin:
    *Turn Ruin into instant cast.
    *Change Ruin II into Ruinga; 50 potency attack to target and all enemies nearby it.
    *Lower MP cost of Ruin III.
    *Change Ruin IV to instant cast.

    Dreadwyrm Trance:
    *Increases a pet's physical and magical attack power by 40%.
    *Enhance Enkindle changed to "Reset when Dreadwyrm Trance affects ends."
    *Increase potency of Ruin III to 200 and Ruin IV to 250.
    *Increase DWT duration to 20s or 25s.

    Demi-Bahamut:
    *Make Wyrmwave his auto attack, change to 2.5s recast.
    *Ruin, Bio, Miasma, and Virus have a __% chance to change the next Wyrmwave to Mega-Flare - 250 potency
    *Change Enkindle Bahamut recast to 45s or once per summon.
    *Change Ahk Morn with Tera-Flare: 1400 Potency attack.
    *Add party wide Buff, Eikon's Favor - Critical Hit rate increased by __%.

    P.S. As for pet's response time, it would nice to fix but it's been this way since 2.0 as any SCH can tell you. I wouldn't hold my breath on a change any time soon.

    Here's my personal laundry list:
    Put Sustain back in, or alternately give SMN a trait that gives Physick a x10 multiplier on HP it restores to egis.
    Revert Bane nerf.
    Make the egis' basic attack function like an auto-attack. It should never interfere with me having them use another ability.
    In that vein, when you pop those abilities or Devotion, the egi should stop anything else it's doing and immediately use that ability.
    Leave the current Devotion targeting behavior when you don't have a player selected, but also allow us to target a player and use Devotion to hit them specifically. Reduce Devotion reaction and animation time. The buff needs to be on another player in less than a second when I hit that button.
    Add an extra trait for Ruin IV that reduces an active Aetherflow cooldown by one second when you cast it.
    Let aetherflow charges exist alongside aethertrails again.
    For Mountain Buster and Flaming Crush, either expand the AoE range or have the AoE be centered on the target we use it on.
    Put Sustain back in.
