Is there a chance of Kugane becoming a "instance is full?"

In prepping for the housing war There is many "What ifs" running through my mind and being stuck on Balmung..sadly i'm sure all of these will happen as you can see people are already stationing themselves hours before the maintenance even starts:







Picture this scenario:
you'll do everything, get a queue of 120, get excited cause you''ll be one of the first 600 in who get a house, then BAM "instance is full" and the game exits, you log back in and you're 4,521 in queue

I remember when SB was launched once they fixed the Rahaban (or whatever his name is) gate. On my server you had to constantly keep trying to enter rhalgr's reach because SO many people were zoned in and it would just kick you out. I heard the new raids quests NPC will also be in Kugane. Could this happen?

Is it better to hang out in ward 1 then just port immediately to a different ward once you log in? Or if i log out in Kugane i should be fine in logging back in by the big shard?

Wow.. this pic really solidifies my decision of logging out at the Aetheryte instead of mobbing the poor ferry dude. I wouldn't even be able to click on him in that mess. I wish anyone on Balmung/Gilgamesh luck... its gonna be a bloodbath.

As far as instance full errors.. I doubt it. I'm more concerned about 90k/lobby errors.

If you are on pc just hold the x key down to target through others.

Yeah.. the last time they added more wards I was on Gilgamesh at the time and kept getting hit with that. The sad part is, that on Gilgamesh i was like 600ish something and got hit with that error. By the time I relogged everything was gone in under five minutes. Can't even imagine how its going to be like on Balmung

The thing that makes it worse is there are people using bots to spam-login faster than people can refresh and click. So they will prob be the ones getting in first.
Most people will prob spend the morning in long queues

It's just another reason why this system is somewhat unfair to people who don't break rules.

They should have opened up all wards prior the patch.

Yes, they could of taken this time to add another 12 wards. but this is coming from a company who JUST now will make it able for your chocobo and minion to be summoned at the same time.. D: I honestly wish I knew what they were thinking. I imagine even the JP servers might be begging for more wards

Yeah not sure what cheat/hack/luck some people have. But their was reports of some people being able to log an alt in and get a second house while people couldn't get the login lobby to stabilize enough to let them in.

Also this pic doesn't even show the coordinated people who can have their friends camping their old plot if they are moving. Which means on Balmung peoples friends or FC members are probably logging out next to meds and smalls.

Why did they have to release Shirogane along with the rest of the patch content? That just means even players who don't care about housing will also be added to the queues. This is such a mess and it hasn't even happened yet.

It's very possible. Keep in mind the difference between #200 in the queue and #4000 in the queue will (as you seem to have surmised) be but a few seconds.

whether the instance is full, if that will happen... will likely depend on just how early you get logged in. But I would worry about queue first. Even a few seconds late is likely too late either way.

As a Gilgamesh player, I'm fully prepared for a queue in the morning. It just makes me glad I am one of those that does not need or want one of the new houses. And I feel really bad for someone who legit wants one and has to contend with the cheating and BS that is going to be everywhere. My fellow guildmaster lucked out back in the day and got one when they added more houses to the old districts, dealing with the same nonsense. So I wish best of luck to all you legit people out there.

Judging by the pictures, there's more people there than there will be houses. Good luck to everyone involved...it's not even prime time yet, so this number will increase without a doubt. I wouldn't be surprised if Shirogane itself crashed after maintenance.
