Is this proof enough that this ability is useless? ( Divine Benison )

People are expecting Divine Benison to make a tank invincible for a significant amount of time. I always laugh when I see that, even though Stoneskin was just as useless. Never did it do more than block 1-2 hits, mobs just hit too hard for it to do significantly more.

I would much rather have stoneskin back, but Divine Benison is still useful. It's a nice one to toss on the tank before a tank buster hits.

I use it all the time as well, if I have lillies and nothing else to spend them on I would rather use it and not waste the lillies that could have been used.

I generally feel that the WHM that are complaining about DB and PE are really just not well versed in being a white mage. White mage is the top healer in the game right now, SE pulled through on making us a "pure healer". It's working just fine.

Learn to play the new mechanics instead of crying on the forums. SE already did their balance patch, they won't make major changes again. GET USED TO IT.

It's not useless.

I use it a lot => during dungeons,primals and now savage.
It's a stronger stoneskin for the cost of one cure/cure ii, it's instant, really fast to execute.
Special note : this is like a tank buster ready skill, i love it.

Anyways.

It deserves its place in white mage's toolkit.

Didn't Stoneskin have an annoyingly long cast time, only absorb 10% and had an AoE version that couldn't be used in combat? Yeah, I think I'll pass.

I don't think I ever saw a WHM using Swiftcast for a Stoneskin. That'd be a ridiculous thing to do.
Besides, the only time where you'd put Stoneskin on someone during combat was: 1) when you are a bad WHM and had nothing else to do between your Cure spam, 2) when that idiot in your group kept dying and had a big HP reduction (but that's gone now).

So, yeah, Divine Benison is way better than Stoneskin. Because it's actually useful and usable in combat quite frequently. Stoneskin was not.

With Divine Benision now, no need to burn your swifcast for it, and it's only a 30s recast CD.

Didn't SS have 18% effectiveness?
WHM had that perk because it was a trait.

Scenario B)
- Mitigation scales with # of Lilies
1 Lily = 15% shield
2 Lilies = 18% shield (old Stoneskin value)
3 Lilies = 20% shield
- Consumes all Lilies

I suggested a Scale per Lily thing myself in WHM forums.
I would go: The more Lilies used, the higher the CD
to compensate a say...10/15/20 percentage? That
way we aren't spamming it to death.
The real problem is the Lily consumption though...but someone said
there's a cooldown on it, but it's already significantly low on CD anyways...
The Cooldown reductions seems redundant to me anyways.
