New jobs I'm hoping for are
- Dancer (healer with melee attacks; has heals that also do damage and weaponskills that also heal)
- Beastmaster / Shaman (tank, melee or physical ranged with the ability to "tame" beasts to obtain their cosmetic appearance for the companion; has weaponskills that make the pet perform an attack; Shaman is a spirit themed alternative whose companion is the spirit of a great beast and who could inflict debuffs)
- Shapeshifter / Druid (tank, melee or caster who fights in a beast form similar to a werewolf or WoW Druid; would use nature-based magic if it were a caster; has control over weather for beneficial effects or healing support)
The nature-based archetype is completely missing in this game, since Archers become Bards instead of Rangers/Hunters and the three Mages channel magical elements instead of utilizing a connection with nature. I'm not sure which FF job would best suit a nature theme but I'd like something similar to a Beastmaster or Shapeshifter. I don't care about the weapons very much. As an example Dancer could dual wield folding fans, Beastmaster could dual wield axes and Shapeshifter could wield a talisman.
