Tried to use a Fantasia Potion...

The game told me to unequip my armour and log out and when I logged back in, I'd be in Character Creation. This didn't happen as I came straight into the game and wasted my only Fantasia Potion. Is there anything I can do?

You didn't waste it, when you log out and back in, you find your character at the "character creation" section, now you'll see a little note next to your characters name. It looks like a little post it note, click that, it will ask you to modify your character and save your previous settings, you will either say yes/ok or don't save it. Now you will be loaded back into the actual character modification screen and can make changes, the moment you are satisfied with it and click ok, your potion will be used. Be sure that you make all necessary changes that you want, before confirming it, since without another potions you won't be able to do that again.
