Susanoo Self Targeting for Rocks

I play on PS4 using controller, during the rock phase, I cannot target myself with D-Pad to mark myself.
Another player said to use "R2 + L1" to self target. This did not work for me.

Is there a way to self target to mark myself? Do I have to create a macro to do it?

You can't target yourself when you're in the rock, but you have an easier time targeting the correct rock and marking it for the others. On Ps4 though it can be a bit clunky cycling through to the right target. That's done with R2(or L2)+L1 or R1.

Whenever I become the rock I just zoom my camera all the way in. That way my rock is usually the only thing that can be targeted with cycling targets.

But I usually just scroll up/down through the enmity list to target me, so I don't have to mess with cameras.

Then I should be able to select it with d-pad Left/Right. Will give that a try in the next time I am doing it.

You can scroll through the Enmity list with L1+up or down dpad.

target self(hit down) hit square, hit "mark" (up i believe) choose a marker. clunky but takes 2 seconds. Alternaticely you could make a hotbar page with the marker readilly available and switch to that and mark self

you are blocked from self target until you stop moving, cancel current target with circle then press X to target and square to mark

I just normally use mouse pad on the center of your controller.
