Job/MSQ boosted Character issue with the Aether Currents

I am very sorry if this is in the wrong place, Im just not 100% sure where this might go.

So, I ended up getting a Job+MSQ boost for an alt character that I made on a friends server. Everything seemed fine till I had to go to Moghome. I noticed that I couldnt fly and was a little confused.
I figured I just had to get all the currents (Which, I admit, kinda upset me but it wasn't really something I was super mad about). I noticed that the quests for the Currents where showing up, so I ended up doing one and went to check my log. When I DID check it, it showed that I have ALL the currents completed.
Not only that, when I went to check my Key items to actually see if I could find any currents, I noticed that I dont even have the Aether Compass. Which, if Im not mistaken, is an item that we get in a MSQ. I have the mount from that very quest, but not the compass.

Am I missing something? Im guessing Im just being a total failure and cant figure it out. Or is this a bug?


Edit: So, Im dumb and forgot about the side quest that needed to be done TO be able to even fly. I just did "I Believe I can Fly" in Foundation (I know, kinda right in my face).
So that solved that problem. But now Im still trying to figure out how to get the Compass.


Final Edit: Well, I was right. Im just a fail that didnt know what to do. I apologize for that.
It seems I had to talk to Gibrillont in Ishgard (The Forgotten Knight). But I did have to complete the quest "Drinking the Pain Away" from him first.

So, in the end, it was all in front of my face and I just didnt notice it.
I just hope I helped a few others that might have been in the same situation I was just in.
