How long for all new housing to be bought?

Particularly I'm interested in how fast each tier will go on this server. I'm interested in buying a medium or mansion if I can get enough gil by release. Will mansions be first to go because there aren't many or will they last a while longer because they are expensive? What about mediums?

Of course I realize nobody can tell the future, but any educated guesses for this server would be much appreciated.

If they keep the same setup as other housing, you're looking at 12 wards, 2 subdivisions per ward.
There are 2 large houses per subdivision, I belive 5 med, and the rest are all smalls.
So each ward has 4 large, 10 medium, 16 small units.
Getting a house in shirogane will like be (savage) mode.
You will need to be there RIGHT as the servers turn back on again,
be in a good ward to get the house you want, of course have the money you need, and then click on it faster then other friggers are able to.
This is of course, ASSUMING... that certain groups out there don't ddos the game during that period of time.

There is however, some good news. If you're just wanting A house, you might consider getting something back in old world.
People will be moving their stuff from the old to the new, so those plots from the old locations will suddenly be available.
Trick is knowing which ones are available.
You might want to talk to people, or check on housing boards to see who's definitely planning on moving, and camping their spot when they do move.
Risk of this is of course, if THEY don't get housing in shiro, then that means they ain't moving.

Siiigh. savage mode doesn't even begin to describe this mess when it hits.
You would THINK that by now, SE would work out a lottery system for people when you have an area that's going to be this badly in demand.
Or something other then 'whoever clicks on it first, wins'.

Going by what happened when they expanded the districts, mediums will likely be the easiest to get (also there is 3 large houses in every district. If I remember correctly, in Shirogane it is plot 7, 16 and 30 - and their respective subdistrict plots).

Cactuar is a very wealthy server considering it's population. There's lots of people sitting on hundreds of millions of gil (and most of the other people can comfortably afford a medium house if they feel like it). Competition for large houses will be huge, There is only 72 larges to choose from, and I know many many FCs that want one, and many many people that want a mansion for a personal house as well. Small houses will sell instantly because people will buy them up for resale. :/ Mediums are usually the ones that hang around a bit longer, but if you're not there in the first couple days, it won't matter.

Is your server a high pop server?

If it is, it will be gone the first 15min once the server goes live

Mid-pop. District expansion was sold out in roughly 3 days when it dropped. Will probably go faster this time with all the new transfers and slightly higher pop from last year.
