What traditional class(es) are you going to be?

This isn't really intended to be a discussion on how or whether or not they should implement traditional class names. There are plenty of topics like that already floating around. This is more to gain a grasp on what classes people think should be given priority. What class(es) are you right now and what traditional class(es) you elect to be?

I have leveled both conjurer and thaumaturge pretty equally, but lately have been favoring conjurer. I would most likely take up black mage or red mage as my main, summoner if it ever gets implemented... or perhaps bard.

Yes obviously they wont call Great Katana's weapon class Great Katana in english, they didn't call any of the Weapon classes by their actual weapon name but a edited version of the name from latin. I don't know what Great Katana could be following their translation methods so far. So they might have to improvise.

I don't see it being Samurai. But Bushido is probably the best choice, As the Katana is Bushido's primary weapon of choice. If not Bushido then Parivir (Job name from Tactics Advanced 2 that was essentially a Samurai.)

Yeah only have 7 Weapons Classes and Two Magic Classes at start was kinda a let down.

I'm a Thief at heart as well, evasion tanking and TH ftw! Would also be interested in Fencer and Assasin if they ever came about.

I was a little sad about the THF. They seem to have distributed some of the THF's classic skills to other classes and just eliminated it in the base 6.

I know we will eventually see advanced classes (6-9 months +, assuming Japan can recover and SE gets back on track "no rush, not in a hurry" I'd rather them be back in prime condition when they and their families and friends are safe)


Priority classes will most likely be a type of Warrior / Paladin / Dark Knight. I would imagine the Mage classes will be worked on also.

We already see a Musketeer's Guild and an Arcanists guild, but there is no inclination as to whether these are just npc guilds or if they will later host playable classes.



I am most excited about a gun-wielding class myself thought ;p

Dragoon, but I would also like to see if I can pull off a ranged class at all this game.
