World transfer 90 day wait

So I transfered to Omega from Odin at the start due to overcrowding.
As a result Omage is overcrowded now too lol.

I would want to transfer to another less populated server, Louisoix, seeing they try to spread the population but I can't anymore due to the 90 day limit on world transfers.

It's quite stupid as now people on Omega are fked royaly and stuck on a highly populated world...

Can't the wait time be waived as well?

How congested you talking? I'm on Balmung even after people transferring off it possibly still the biggest server of XIV, and balmung seen a big improvement since they started doing force logouts. Our queue time gone from couple hours to maybe couple minutes at most now. So I don't see how Omega could be worse.

Here in Omega it can take 10+ mins. One time it took about 30 minutes.

Thursday and Friday after I got home from work it took 40-45 minutes to login (8pm BST). Saturday afternoon (around 2pm BST) when I tried to login that took about 50 minutes. Today (Sunday) I tried about the same time, and that took just over an hour.

So yeh... it's pretty bad.

Off-peak the login queues are minutes at most, but if you actually try and login peak times, you'll be waiting a while.

i couldnt agree more! :P i actually have a forum myself up about the same situation with many people in the same situation as us. 90 days is a bit much i agree

Agreed! I hate how congested Omega is. Getting on the game this afternoon was painful, i was in a queue for over 2000 people.

Same here, i've hit the over 2000 people in queue many times since transferring.

Problem is, if there wouldn't be a restriction, everybody would have the same bright idea as the OP. Making it a flip flop kind of situation, players first transferring to Omega, then over to Louisoix, after that maybe to (insert any new server name here) etc. It would be very hard to keep track of the overall server population and taking measurements, as well as applying new or current bonuses. On top of that, you would start seeing an even more unstable economy since it would allow players to just transfer from A to B or Left and Right, making it an overall complete mess. Might want to keep that in mind, especially if you think that at the current state, it's already a mess. Would be worse if there's no limitation at all. But in my personal opinion, I do think that 90 days is a bit much, could have done a 45 or 60 day, even a 75 day would have been fine if that was the concern.

However with that mentioned, I still need to be that guy, that reminds people that it wasn't a "hidden" thing. If somebody would have done their research, or read the patch notes instead of just scrolling through the beginning of the initiatives, I am sorry to say it, but you can't complain at the end. You agree'd to the terms, now you have to play on whatever server and maybe within the 90 days, people will make some wiser choices, instead of jumping the "NEW SERVER I GOTTA BE THERE" train lol.

oh I knew there was a time limit, though I expected them to close the free transfer to Omega before it got congested though...
and I doubt many who's FC transferred too, would again transfer

Transferred to Omega just to find my connection is very poor and won't let you transfer for 90 days. That's not very good customer service on there part. Why is it 90 days also for character you created on that server that has never transferred to another server. Says online character has to be 3 days old before can be transferred not 90 days.
