Over powered world add and game difficulty

It has to be a boss FATE, but it kinda baffles my mind that a player who is 3 levels above a regular monster, on a DPS job to boot, isn't able to take down a fodder over world monster.

...I am not crazy right? We have been doing this for a few years now. I suppose the only way you can't win is if said SMN has no pet out, and is just auto attacking with their book, and EVEN if that were possible, a chocobo companion in Free Stance mode can kill said mob by itself, albeit very very slowly.

It's hard to miss when your in a FATE, seeing as it tells you a FATE has begun in big letters on the screen, has completely different music (if it's a boss), and very noticeable little purple icons. Maybe this level 70 mob really was a hunt mob xD
