Both are ability's so they don't invoke the GCD macros fire them off exactly like a button press, there is no delay you should only avoid using spells in macros (they don't get spell queued while the gcd is running in a macro), ability's like this are fine though.

There remains the issue of not being able to queue them. For example, because I use "Aetherial Manipulation" <mo>, I can't press it near the end of my cast and expect it to work.

For this reason I keep Between the Lines on its own hotkey; it weaves smoothly and eliminates potential for user error.
