    Blm leylines button bloat

So for between the lines the buttons should be combined I feel but until then i use this macro and it works fairly well.

    /micon "ley lines"
    /merror
    /ac "ley lines"
    /ac "between the lines"

Uses lines if off Cooldown, then every press after that will zip you back to your lines.

We don't have that many buttons to push, but if that macro helps float your boat, sure go for it. I have a personal dislike for macros like that because of the delay in them. I find it quicker to hit between the lines with no macro.

I''m with you on that one man. I will use this and shift another one of spells on to my primary crossbar. Everyone talks about the delay associated with macros but how much is the delay associated with me pushing L2 then R2 then verifying that the button push is on screen versus having more of the quick use skills up front (and how many times have I hit R2 then L2 in my quest make it fast. I have both of my aggro mitigating skills in one macro command also. It is worth it for me to have less buttons to be aware. I think it is all up to personal play style and preference. They have an old saying the military and it goes "Slow is smooth and smooth is fast". I fall in to that category. Thanks for the post.

I mean, it's likely going to happen down the line. It might as well happen now.

My SGts like to say that one a lot, but I digress. I think it's easier for me since I prefer to play on the M&K which allows quicker access. Even on the PS4, I preferred m&K over the controller.

The only problem I have with macroing stuff like this on blm is that it's really hard to weave a macro between spells that take longer than the gcd to cast. I had a macro like this for a bit, but after it proved to be too unreliable i went back to two separate hotkeys.

The Leylines button should just turn into the Between the Lines button whenever it's up.

I would also love it if Enochian/FireIV/BlizzardIV worked like they do in PvP and were just all the same button. Since you can effectively see Enochian's remaining cooldown based on the progress of the Foul bar, you don't need Enochian's icon to remain visible while Enochian itself is active.

There remains the issue of not being able to queue them. For example, because I use "Aetherial Manipulation" <mo>, I can't press it near the end of my cast and expect it to work.

For this reason I keep Between the Lines on its own hotkey; it weaves smoothly and eliminates potential for user error.

So dunno what you are talking about.
There is indeed a queue for all skills, on or off the GCD. If you click on Ley Lines when something like Blizzard IV is about to finish casting, Ley Lines will be queued and activate at the next available opportunity. If you put Ley Lines in a macro, then you have to wait for the animation lock of Blizzard IV to finish completely before activating the macro will have any effect.
