"The Last Stand" Quest - Extra Letter?

Should there be an extra 's' following the apostrophe after the name 'Alain Brooks'? I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think I was taught to not put an 's' after an apostrophe if word before it also ended in an 's'. Perhaps either way is valid? I apologize in advance if I am mistaken.

I also thought that maybe the dev team was being clever and this quest was filling in the name with the person who last completed the quest, meaning it would be difficult to know whether or not to use the extra 's', but I searched for 'Alain Brooks' on the Lodestone and nothing came up, so that doesn't seem to be the case.

In actual fact, it's correct either way, but only when concerning names. This is actually the preferred method though, like the Oxford comma, it has fallen out of common use.

Really now? I always see it with no second s after the apostrophe.

s' is a Plural form. Brooks's is correct since it's a possessive of that last name. However most people tend to speak it as there is only one S for some reason.

Nevermind! I should have checked around online first. Apparently the apostrophe without an 's' after it is reserved for plural things only, so the text is correct!

Both versions are correct, but it's more important that the text is consistent in terms of which version they go with.
