Can Mutamix convert Tier V materia to Tier VI? Anyone know?

I've got a bunch of Tier V combat materia I have little use for.
Would love to convert it to Tier VI.

Has anoyne tried this and succeeded? Thanks.

Yup, it works. But the chance is pretty low. I've gotten a couple of gathering/crafting VI materia that way.

I have around 100 combat Tier V I don't intend to use. So I might get 3 or 4 Tier VI, and they might be DoH/DoL.
Hopefully not Tier VI elemental materia, though. Garland says they're in there.

A few days after sb came out, i gambled out of boredom and a need for gil. I took 4 tier 6 and 1 tier 5 junk materias and mutamixed them. Only one became tier 5. The rest were 6. Ended up making a mil on it from two crafter materias. Mil spent 2 mil gained. Mil earned. Never doing it again.

it works but you have a high chance of getting resistance grade 6 materia compared to the rest.
