    Ah, I see. Ok, I'll adjust myself as needed and use Lucid more often and try putting more Crit and Det on my gear in favor of piety. I guess being new to gearing and melding stats for healers, I went a bit overboard with the Piety, thinking more MP the better. I'll also try to squeeze in some DH as well for my offensive spells. Thank you two very much.

    I've personally never considered more PIE to be a bad thing, though I know many do and are viewing it the way tanks viewed HP where "enough to survive" was all you need and anything extra was wasted. But in both these cases, imo, it's dependant on the skill of the player and of the party, tank busters are not the most challenging healing, and likewise scripted content where things go smoothly and your MP needs are predetermined are not the end-all of healing in this game. More MP/HP than necessary is *never* a bad thing, just perhaps not as valuable as some Crit or DET. Think for yourself and learn through trial and error—even the cutting edge WHM/AST stat preferences will vary.
