For the most part, WAR players are asking for things they already had. That sort of request seems common among many jobs.
That happens because you are not in the agro list of the mob, yes it is a bug and need fixing, but until they fix it, just open the fight with a tomahawk and you are fine.


WTF did I just read. Take this bullshit elsewhere. I would be fine with the bug fix but being out since release and still not fixed. I do alot of hunts on my war, so it has its affect on me. How would you like it if one of your major skills was buggy for no reason. For literally a whole expansion infuriate was never an issue but now that its been changed there's no going back because its an issue, ya okay.Gave we give war a gauge with 1000 instead of 100

the beast gauge penalty was there to help hold war in check on dmg, now you want to remove the infuriate in combat? Fixing the bug is one thing, but making a job overpowered in the process isn't a good idea
Not worth complaining about... what?!You are underestimating how serious and hardcore people are about being the #1 highest damage Warrior/raid party. Trust me on this - people will wait. At the very least, some Warriors will be asking for it.
And if they ARE able to start off with a full beast gauge, it would be overpowered. Not completely broken the way some people might think, but it would definitely give Warriors an unfair advantage over the other tanks.
The only way this change would be possible is if we made the beast gauge decay after a while. Maybe make it lose 50 points after 60 seconds? And I don't just mean out of combat, either.
But this would mean each point of the beast gauge that you earn would have a lifespan of 60 seconds. Older points get spent first, so like if you used Infuriate, waited a little, used Upheaval, and then did a Storm's Path combo, you should have 60 left, and after some time you would only lose 30 because those other 30 came from the Storm's Path which is more recent.
Or make the beast gauge fill up with a different type of rage, and make THAT expire after 60 seconds.
But honestly I think this problem is just mildly annoying and not worth complaining about.
Either revert or fix it already. Why is it not worth complaining about? A skill can't be used for a whole fight and its not worth complaining about? I love this, all the stuff people are complaining about on the forums and I complain about a buggy skill and this is the community response. I guess there's always that one person.
I'll try it, but I would think using any action on the mob would put you on the aggro list.

Lemme ask you this - if you had to choose between fixing this glitch, or having the stance swap penalty back, which one would you pick?
Yeah, ideally we should be able to have both of them, but we don't. The difference is that one of those affects the playstyle of Warriors in every single aspect. Yours is just at the start of SOME fights.
And honestly? I actually don't even know where the hell you're coming from. Whenever I do hunts, my Infuriate is only down until I'm able to come up close and start hitting it. By the time I land Maim, it's definitely up. You're losing like 1-3 seconds. While doing hunts. Hunts.
So yeah, not worth complaining about. Especially when we have a skill that LITERALLY does nothing 99% of the time (100% of the time in raids and boss fights).

I mean, I guess on second thought it's not like... that important to me, it's just more of a "Yeah but why?" thing. The CD makes it too awkward to setup every single fight and if we're worried about what happens after a long pull, well... you can just immediately use it when you start the next fight. I dunno I guess I just don't see the purpose- I don't get the playstyle they're trying to nudge me toward with it.
It's pretty damn annoying honestly, but I guess I can see why they don't allow it.
War isn't op now...not even close. If you have all 3 leveled, you should know that pld is leagues ahead of the the other two, still. I don't have drk yet, but I do have the other two up and it is certainly true.
Back on topic, I feel the bigger issue is this causes us to be locked out of onslaught at weird times, a skill we feel like we should be able to use a little more freely.
