After the macro above, I usually press Steady Hand II and wing the rest. If you prefer going full macro, here's the second sequence.

Steady Hand II
Innovative Touch (Innovation buff for these late sequence touches is huge)
Hasty Touch II
Hasty Touch II
Hasty Touch II
Byregot's Blessing (you should be 100%+ for HQ now)
Nymeia's Wheel (gets back durability)
Specialty: Reinforce (gets back durability)
Ingenuity II (useful for its buff to synthesis steps)
Careful Synthesis II
Careful Synthesis II
Careful Synthesis II

... usually 3 Careful Synthesis II will finish the item. Do more if needed.

I thought I'd share what I'm doing, since I didn't see a clear strategy on this thread or in my internet searches. Better sequences may be out there, but this one works well for me.
