Are you kidding me? Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey are fantastic JRPGs. Best i've played in a long long time. Lost Odyssey blows FF7-13 out of the water.
Blue Dragon is a fun, light hearted game, with awesome traditional gameplay.
I'd love to see another myst walker game over another POS elderscrolls or fall out type RPG anyday.

I am currently, I think I shouldn't mention that it scored perfect scores across 2 major magazines, not to mention it's a fair bit too RPG like now which I know won't be recieved well once it hits western shores, since a lot of gamers nowadays doesn't like the classic type of RPG.
Yeah, it's kind of funny how people will jump on people who enjoy square games, yet will want to kill you if you so much as mention the holy trinity of glitches Bethesda is known for.

The western media has been extremely excited about it, and I know I am.I am currently, I think I shouldn't mention that it scored perfect scores across 2 major magazines, not to mention it's a fair bit too RPG like now which I know won't be recieved well once it hits western shores, since a lot of gamers nowadays doesn't like the classic type of RPG.
FFVII remake :lol
Sakaguchi back :LOL
Stop proving my points damn you.

Wait, are you saying that you DON'T think a remake of a 10+-year-old game on with an expensive HD budget helmed d by a guy who has clearly lost his edge is going to be able to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Bethesda and Bioware, or even future entries of its own series? Are you saying instead that Final Fantasy should look to the future instead of the past?
Get out of here, Betelgeuzah.

I have seen the err in my ways. Here was I, thinking that when faced with two polarizing factions- those who would wish for the remake to stay true to the original as much as possible, and those who would wish for the game to be brought up to the standards of today instead of clinging to the past in everything except the graphical quality- SE would have to compromise even further than they ever did with XIII, leaving one of these factions disappointed resulting in a mixed reaction like never seen before anywhere. Possibly angering both, trying to find a compromise yet pleasing nobody in the process as everybody would have something to hate, together as one.
Here was I, thinking that a remake of a game you may have played and enjoyed during a significantly different stage of your life- a game that is being remembered as more of a brilliant experience than merely a video game- wouldn't "feel the same" regardless of what the developers did to it.
But alas, all of it was a huge mistake. None of these issues would be present, and thus is the company in question foolish for not attempting to give in to the fans' demands. The game would be a perfect success.
