Either that or an additional recurring fee just like the retainer(s). They basically sell additional armoury chest space in FFXI.
I'm not talking about the level 70 gear though. I'm talking about the initial level 50 gear that you get from the first quest that gives the nameless set for samurai or the red mage set
I lean toward agreeing with this (as much as I'd like NOT to).Glamour log is 100% not a server issue. It is 100% they want people to keep paying for extra retainers issue.
It's very easy, as people have mentioned, for this game to implement lots of systems that are like checking a box of 'have, don't have.' Minions, fish, hunting logs, sightseeing logs, mounts, CRAFTING COMPLETION LOGS (hundreds and hundreds of recipes per class).
They don't do a glamour log because they actually don't want to do a glamour log. That's the only reason.
We have crafting logs that track which items you have and haven't made, fishing logs that not only track whether you've caught a certain fish but the record for the biggest fish you've caught, and the Armoire which is essentially storing a list of items you have anyway.
There are a lot of different gear appearances in this game, true, but every gear appearance is literally a binary "on/off" in a glamour log, as it doesn't need to track item ID, repair state, dye state, etc. It's just "Does the player have this appearance unlocked? Yes/No", nothing else.
And if that's too much data to be sending on a regular basis, only access it when we access it, like the Armoire supposedly does.
I think we can expect out of SE at least what a 13 year old MMO can do.
It's depressing and pathetic but likely true.

Inventory UI improvement
Real "Repair All" function
more Teleport favored destinations
Mount Roulette Filter
Yeah...for those(and because of the vast amount of other gears that are a pain to get sometimes, especially the dungeon ones if your RNG sucks like mine) and other items, the armoire should accept all equipment.
