It's not an inventory but a checklist, though.

The game is no longer tracking these items as what dye color they are or what their spirit bond and repair %s may be. It only needs to ask "Does the player have this item unlocked for glamouring onto another item? Yes/No".

It's actually a far more eloquent solution because it not only allows players to "collect" glamour to fill out their logs but it also frees up a lot of inventory space and eases database load as players vendor the piles of things that have been molding in their Armoires anyway.

In fact, with a glamour log, they could delete Armoires entirely, which is what WoW did with "void storage" when they added the transmog log (and the Armoire is basically XIV's version of "void storage").
