I lean toward agreeing with this (as much as I'd like NOT to).
We have crafting logs that track which items you have and haven't made, fishing logs that not only track whether you've caught a certain fish but the record for the biggest fish you've caught, and the Armoire which is essentially storing a list of items you have anyway.
There are a lot of different gear appearances in this game, true, but every gear appearance is literally a binary "on/off" in a glamour log, as it doesn't need to track item ID, repair state, dye state, etc. It's just "Does the player have this appearance unlocked? Yes/No", nothing else.
And if that's too much data to be sending on a regular basis, only access it when we access it, like the Armoire supposedly does.
