Sudden error 2002

I was unable to log in 6 times in a row, but once I quit WTFast I was able to log in normally.

I can confirm that as soon as I quit my VPN I could log in normally as well to Primal Data Center.

also having this problem, got d/c and when I tried to log back in at like 10:45 pm est got lobby connection error 2002 i can log into my character on cactaur but not my main on Hyperion.

I'm also having this issue, and only while using WTFast service. Considering my lag is quite nasty without this service lately, this issue is quite frustrating. Aether data center for me.

WTFast is causing 2002 problem.
Disable it and log in

I had that issue two days straight. With WTFast and normally log in. I checked servers status and didn't see Balmung in the list or active online servers. This morning I checked list and Balmung was up, I was able to log in no problem. Maybe it got fixed? I was worried about my garden and only had one casualty do to it ; ;...what a waste of a blood pepper.

I just tried picking the WTFast servers manually and I was able to connect, not letting WTFast pick the optimal server for now

I had no trouble at all last night, but back to the same issue this morning. I'm also running WTFast, so it seems like it's their issue. PvE is impossible without a VPN, so I thought I was stuck but went in and manually selected my server like Chigo suggested and got right in.

I correct my previous post:

You can still log in using WTFast. You have to manually select the server, as someone above mentioned.

When you start the launcher and select your game from the list, just check the "manually choose a server" option and then choose "sort by ping". The best choice should be the lowest ping or the lowest ping that is closest to the data center (Los Angeles).

WTFast improves my gameplay experience vastly, I would like an statement of SE if they plan on fixing the issue that hasn't been present before the current patch.

Or is this a counter measure to keep non NA players from playing on NA servers?
