But you people wanted the game to be more like FFXI, and you got your wish. Don't complain.

Who said that? Oh right, the people in your head you make sweeping, inaccurate generalizations for.
I personally said keep the good points of XI (such as AH) and to not implement the bad (grindy time sinks, "strict" job specifications, etc) I don't know what you said, but since you don't seem to be informed about what people ACTUALLY said when they wanted aspects of XI in this game, I won't care about what you said either.

Well although I agree with hating the mechanics of getting the keys each time, there are already a ton of people on my server that are getting close to the 7/7 mark. So it's really not time consuming, tedious yes. But honestly, most people on these forums would turn around and bitch if all you had to do was show up to the fight, win and you get a choice of your weapon. Then cry there's nothing to do because 4 hours later they had every weapon they wanted.
Imagine though, if they made each weapon Unique. In other words, if you opted for the Moogle Sword, you couldn't get anything else. Same With Ifrit, It would make each weapon unique but piss tons of people off in the process. That was a little off subject, just sounded funny to me for some odd reason..
Edit: Poster above, SE did not add these specific class's orny thing you see going on. You can very well beat the Moogle and Ifrit fight without 4+ Archers in your group. Its the community that does that.
The people whose opinions I always argue against have me on ignore!?
Makes me wonder whether any personal bias is involved affecting the rationale behind the decision! Obviously not.
One thing is for certain, though- circle-jerking is easier when the opposing opinions are ignored.

				Mark Of Tanaka
Status Effect
Duration: 36 hours
Afflicts the player with the Mark Of Tanaka. Armor durability decreased by 100%. Any movement by the player cause experience gains to gradually decrease until null. Additionally, experience rewards gained from combat are random. Afflicts blindness while in the market wards which renders the item search useless. Menu confirmations increased by 100%. Mouse is afflicted with software curse, which decreases movement by 50%.

Yep. Anyone who actually defends any ideas or opinions they like must be ignored! Nothing like the usual daily dose of ignorant sanctimonious bull~ to start the day with :/
I agree with a few points, but don't think Tanaka has much influence in the game. The materia levels made me laugh after they went through so much trouble to drop the +1, +2 etc. And they're in talks of reducing inventory space again! hah. I already vendor or drop anything under a lvl III materia because it isn't worth the space. I guess this is a good way to get people to buy more retainers when they actually make them available.
As far as the moogle fight pre-quest being tedious, I think they're being a little counter productive if they're trying to add longevity to the battle. Make the battle fun enough and people will keep doing it, without the obnoxious time-sink.
In this case, I'll get what I need from it and never waste time doing that annoying pre-quest again unless the linkshell is short on participates and needs my attendance. Probably not what SE had in mind.
Like anything though, it's trial and error. Hopefully garuda will have something a little more interesting.
