Coming from an EQ vet, I'm looking to play a class that has a lot of self sustain to allow the healers in dungeons to cast more dps spells.

PLD has a very strong self heal that it can use many times throughout a fight, whereas WAR has lifesteal attacks which, although weaker, can generally be much more satisfying to use. You should keep in mind though that you will not be able to keep up the self sustain for very long, and also that tanks have a much higher potential single target damage output.
in dungeon settings, DRK and WAR can do some good life steal now that this patch is released. For DRK, you pop TBN and blood price, then use the ensuing blood for delirium, spam dark arts abysal drain. when MP gets low, you should have enough blood to use quietus to replenish enough MP for more DA-AD. For WAR, the self sustain is limited to steel cyclone. Haven't had the chance to play, but I imagine you'd want to use steel cyclone when you're low to bounce back up, or use it as a buffer for when the healer sets up HoTs on you. It's not as nice dps as using decimate, but the self sustain looks worthwhile.
When it comes to tank heals noting beats paladin
DRK and WAR have self heals on their two major aoe abilities. Abyssal Drain powered by Dark Arts restores partial damage dealt, as does WAR's steel cyclone. It does it for every enemy hit so doing it in sizeable groups can lead to pretty strong healing.
In dungeons, yes, DRK and WAR can probably beat PLD.
But, against single target, it's another story. The most important part is that PLD is the only job that can massively heal itself out of tank stance. And that can heal someone else.
PLDs are capable of the most total healing by far, but to do so they have to actually spend time casting heals. Warriors and Darks get very small amounts of healing but they do it in the course of their jobs (or spend some resources to do it).
Two somewhat different models; in an ideal world paladin will almost never heal in the course of their jobs (except in aoe if it allows the healer to dps). They can, though, when they need to.
Honestly i dont think theres that much difference in dungeons, and healers should be able to keep all 3 tanks up fairly well while doing dps even with aggresive tanks with proper use of cooldowns.
But if we talking amount of heals in tank stance i still have to throw warrior into the mix, they have a selfheal as strong as the pld heal, Thrill of Battle which increases your hp by 20% and heals for as much as it increased it, as well as inner beast that's both a defensive buff and selfheal and steel cyclone an aoe enmity move that selfheals
I dunno, man. This warrior isn't even playing optimally, and he still solo'd the last 25 percent of this boss by himself. And this was before yesterday's buffs.

Even without bloodbath, Warrior self-healing is in a pretty good place.
