So uh... whats up with the end game gear designs lately?

And I am fully aware that some might like it. I'm not knocking those that do, this is clearly an opinion thread. Im merely asking if we can get some more stylish sets in the future. Im not asking them to change this set as it is now. Just giving my honest feedback. It really does look terrible on everyone except tank (and caster; but only because the color scheme tones down the odd look.)

Best bet is those new 24man sets as theme is Ivalice so except FF12 or some Tactic's design on those items.

With regard to the Genji stuff - I am glad that SE went with a different aesthetic. The healer set is sort of growing on me (though the hat will never grow on me).

At the end of the day, it's personal preference. At least there are always glamours?

When I ran to check the gear I legit searched for my Alex caster chest because they looked too similar in design. Outside of the decoration and the creation gear having slightly longer sleeves, the coats were basically the same.

The creation gear isn't so bad... we've had worse... I haven't seen all of the sets yet, so I can't pass judgement. Some probably work better than others, sam omega gear looks great, healer gear makes me very VERY sad. This is why we have a glamour system, though! If you don't like it, change it to something you do like!

Personally, I haven't really loved any current gear since 2nd Coil, so when they are of questionable taste, I'm not surprised anymore.

The only issues with the Creation set are the colour and the helmet; I think it can work. And people have been asking for more heavy-style gear for casters since forever.

I like the Genji stuff more than the Alexander gear designs but that's a matter of taste. I'm a big samurai fanboy :/

Mostly happy that this means we're likely to get versions of the design contest caster gear for all jobs. Sexy necromancer healer times for all!

I'm pretty sick of the butt-cape armour sets have to have now, especially on tank ones. Where's the variety?

Basically, the best stuff already came out and now they are unable to continuously top themselves.

Personally, I think the long-coat is a step in a better direction, though, shame on me for not reading the fine print of the contest, although I did come in on the tail end of it.

Nevertheless, I am more than satisfied with a long-coat of sorts in lieu of any item that looks like a robe. It seems as though we healers are doomed to just get robe after robe after robe into infinity, which after 6+ years of being a healer main, is quite exhausting.

While I'll admit that the Lost Allagan set isn't what I would consider the best, I'll settle for that as long as we're not getting another robe.
