Even if it's worse it won't be by much I'd imagine. You should probably spend your tomestones on something else while waiting for the o4s spear and use shinryu spear for the moment.

Well I already have the augmented one months ago. I got the shinryuu spear and kinda enticed because it has crit and dhit compared to det and sks. I asked people in reddit and they said even if the LA one has worse sub-stats it should be the better one since it has higher weapon damage and STR.


In shinryu ex you can hit the tail with geirskogul and 1 nastrond if you delay your first lotd window. Also, you can hit the heart (and shinryu) with the other 2 nastronds. So you basically use 6 nastronds in your first lord window.

When it comes to optimizing on o1s/o2s though you are delaying your first lotd phase to help line it up with bfb though yeah?


Took a long break, wondering what the rotation is now that you only need 3 Eyes to get LoTD and GK reduction to 30s. Wondering if its better to just burn out GK and Jumps super early in the rotation so that by the time Jump and GK come back off CD, you're ready to enter LotD for your third dragon eye.

Seeing as SAM is certainly going to be left behind until 5.0, I figured it might be worthwhile to pick up DRG again. Anyone got a good reference for what the opener should be, currently?
I figured it was something along the lines of: Pre-pull BoTD. HT(DS)>ID(BFB+Litany)>Dis(Pot)>CT(Jump)>WT(Mirage+Geir)>FC(SSD)>TT(Mirage)>VT(LS)>FT(DfD). Kind of difficult since I can't use WTFast and my latency isn't the greatest, but correct anything I'm mistaken on. I think I'm definitely confused on where Geir should be placed in the opener, since it affects when I can enter LoTD later.
Also, speaking of LoTD, people say it's (current fights anyway) better to hold LoTD. Is the simple way of 'holding' it, to just enter LoTD as you see your second BfB come up? And by 'holding' it, aren't your mirage dives technically wasted? Potency-wise, obviously not, but the stacks they'd accumulate... isn't that going to affect you at some point or the other? Or am I misunderstanding...? Because the way people talk about it, it sounds like you're using Mirages while you're at 3 eyes.

My contention is, if you do GK that late, you're going to have 3 eye stacks but GK will be like 10-12 sec away. If you Jump super early and GK super early, by the time Jump is up again, GK will be ready and that 2nd Jump will give you 3 stacks so you can GK into LoTD fairly quickly. If done correctly, you should pretty much always be in LoTD with like 10s delay between each LotD phase.HT(DS)>ID(BFB+Litany)>Dis(Pot)>CT(Jump)>WT(Mirage+Geir)>FC(SSD)>TT(Mirage)>VT(LS)>FT(DfD)

Hold mirage dive to use your second geirskogul without triggering Lotd then do Lotd 35sc later with your timers just like you used to.
