What the hell is it with instances?!

Why are they back?! Finally the game was fun again and DOABLE cause all was ONE area and now the damn instances are back? And SE doesn't have to give me the 'congested worlds' bull crap cause the server I am on is not crowded AT ALL. You could easily put all players in an area in one instance without the need for the damn instances.

These instances do not help at all. They are a pain in the ass. When in a party you can't even teleport normally cause you will be dropped in different instances. GET OFF IT! There was no need AT ALL to put them back.

Because people camping Lochs waiting for Ixion to spawn was causing trouble for some servers, why all the areas needed the instance, I got no clue.

On some worlds it actually was needed, reports of people unable to access the lochs due to people camping the Ixion fate are around the forums somewhere. Now, your server might not be congested.. however I'm willing to bet that the reason you got instances anyway is because it's easier to apply instances to all worlds and be done with it rather than arbitrarily cherry-pick which worlds do and do not.

instances are back because of the new dungeon that dropped which requires those maps. It'll die down soon

I am on NA Siren, that server is not crowded at all. Even if people would camp anywhere, they would all fit in the same instance cause not everyone does it on the same time. Sure a player or 8 might but even then there is no need. If they HAVE to put instances, at least drop the party normally in the same instance, but even that they can't do....

Instances are back so people can do hunt bills, gathering and MSQ in the Loch when Ixion spawns since the single instance gets congested and un-enterable even on low pop servers.

Then they should put the damn instance on LOCH only. Not the rest. This is ridiculous. Or you know work on the system and recognize parties. It would already help to just be able to party with friends and be dropped in the same instance at all times.

They probably didn't have the time or resources to make it lochs only. It's a quick fix to address the Ixion situation. I'm sure they will look into a per zone system in the future but Yoshi only has so many dev resources to deploy. So it was: quick fix, no fix or fix it in patch 4.x

While not perfect, it addressed the immediate issue as quickly as possible. Let's be happy they were able to do what they did to address it.

you do realize they would have to burn more money to pay the server people to set that up, where as due to having the previous setup put back in place they dont have to pay as much as they would for the new adjustments.

besides is it really that much of a problem, if you're aiming for the tiger mount from A and S rank bosses?
