Im aware that this game is incredibly popular, but FFXIV is well past the point where there are people engaged in every fate. And the game is definitely past the point of there being huge amounts of people in each questing area. Even on servers like Giglamesh.

So why the hell does SE think it's acceptable to drop fates on questing destinations? This is ridiculous. You dont have the numbers to possibly think fates are being completed each time they pop up. Impeding players from completing a quest is an unacceptable practice.

And dont give me that crap about doing something else, fanboy apologists. If you get caught up doing other stuff, there is a good chance that the fate will return as you make your way back to the quest in question. Or it will drop right on you.
Im just one subscription, so im sure SE doesnt care about me, but im strongly thinking of not resubbing next month. I dont have time to deal an absolutely stupid design such as fates ruining my questing progression.

What this game needs is competition. For some reason the other MMO's that are out right now aren't really helping with it. I hope Blizzard can step up their game at some point

I think he's talking about where some fates spawn right on top of quest locations, making it annoying to do those quests.

I never noticed this o.o and I did most of the story on Mateus, and we almost never saw people in the zones while questing.

That was my interpretation as well.

Ixion and people afk in The Lochs cock blocking others from actually being able to progress MSQ, etc is definitely a valid complaint (which should hopefully be remedied by the reinstatement of instances), but this...this is not.
