Thread: RIP Dark Passenger. Not enough Dark Knight changes.

No changes to dark passenger. No changes to TBN or our mitigation. Savage selection is going to be rough now that Warriors are buffed.

I don't understand what's the purpose of this ability, it currently serves no purpose outside of destroying your mana pool.

Likewise The Blackest Night is still going to make me rage quit due to server ticks and not registering. 3 seconds of TBN and you get hit by the Tank Buster = A really, really bad feeling.

Shadow Wall is still at a high cd with lower mitigation for no discernible reason.

Here's hoping the soul eater buff is good enough.

Quietus change is probably to discourage dropping Grit to get MP from Blood Weapon so it at least makes sense. Unexpected, but IMO a good change.

All told, I feel the tank adjustments are incredibly stupid and DRK definitely got the shortest stick. SE could really use some new blood on their dev team or at least to bring in some players as testers or to be involved in development so they don't keep doing stupid things. I still maintain that making WAR stance dancing totally free without making at least some adjustment to the penalty on DRK and PLD (lol gauge buff on PLD misses the point entirely) is also bad and that they know it's bad and don't care.

It just feels like they screwed up and have no ideas so they're just backtracking a little bit to 3.0 (which was sooooo good. Not like they rushed 4.0 out because it was a disaster or anything). Seriously, is this all they can deliver after 2 years of (apparently empty) promises?

They won't fix it. They only buff WAR if something isn't convenient for them because they have this stupid concept that there are two tanks in the game: WAR and PLD/DRK. They don't care that WAR is OP because in their minds, WAR is entitled a spot in the party and DRK and PLD have to fight for the remaining spot.

Maybe a few months out, they'll nerf PLD until it's garbage again so DRK can have a chance. Wee, I'm sure every tank that lived through Heavensward will really appreciate that! Actually, depending on what they add in 4.1 to Shake it Off, we can maybe look forward to WAR/WAR being optimal again. After all, DRK utility as OT is basically the same as Stoneskin used to be on PLD, 10% of HP. If they give WAR basically anything it'll overtake DRK in that regard too!
