Bad, very BAD timing for this bad pratice squeenix, Black Desert just released in huelands. Also, i don't like paying subscriptions because i can buy a full game every 3 or 2 months, using sub money.

Black Desert SA is p2w, b2p and p2p, so I dont think it is a good alternative, mostly because you are avoiding to pay more.
Thanks SE, now is like I'm paying a game every month just to play FFXIV.

goodbye ffxiv T^T
Going to wait few day on official SE statement. If nothing going to change will stop playing FFXIV and try to refund Stormblood on steam (long shot, but will try anyway). Its kind of BS when you sell new expansion and then raise sub price 3x time without warning. If i knew, i would never bought it in the first place. And i made my friend buy it as well.. feels bad man, what a scam.

You know one thing I go to play Final Fantasy 14 and back to play Guild Wars 2 that does not pay monthly and have a great quality B2p.
Even if we fight here about signing it seems they don't care about the Brazilians and not with Russians and other countries. (Low income)
Square Enix has already shown his claws.
I'm going to miss the Lalafel, the story, the community good people, it sucks I'm really sorry about this.
- Square Enix uses Limit Break
- Russian playerbase annihilated
- Brazil players barely standing, 95% MIA.
Seriously speaking, in the past World of Warcraft was 359r for russian players, after the currency change Blizzard WARNED EVERYONE BEFOREHAND and allowed them to purchase WoW sub with 359r for whatever period they want and only after that changed the price to 550r(not 859r) per month. A lot of people purchased 1+ year of WoW subscription at that time with 359r/month. Also, FF XIV with 3 additional retainers is now 100% higher than World of Warcraft in "per month" (550r WoW Vs 1100r FFXIV).
p.s. Conversion rates if someone interested:
1 Euro = 68r
1 $USD = 59r

I recently started to play and I already fell in love with this game. But changing prices will not let me continue to play! It's terribly sad! In our countries too different economic situations, and I'm very sad that this will no longer be taken into account...
I fully agree with the majority of players here. I'm from Russia. I want to add, that ffxiv was just the way for me to avoid donate in such game as Aion for example. One of the reasons for joining ffxiv was its rather low price for the month sub. And if the price then was so high, i would NOT EVEN STARTED to play.
I think, that normal price for our region is 550-600Rub.~10$, that is equal to the ruble's exchange rate changes in past 3 years. That would be not so great for us, but rather fair, cause people on non-steam accounts pay incomparably more. The only difference is, that they KNEW FROM THE START, what they must pay, and had a choice not to spend their money for the game itself.
But all I want to ask is, what we actually can do? I don't think SE will be interested in reading forums. So, what do you think we can really do: only drop this game/becoming to pay almost 3.5% from our average monthly wages? Or do you think there is a real possibility to influence this situation?
