    Lemme tell ya:

    One single Dollar is way more than THREE Brazilian Reais. And thats because things got worse, it was close to two when they implemented the regional price. The way you are saying it, SE had no idea, but they would have noticed when our currency was falling like a rock.

    Just in case people dont know what are regional prices and why they are used.
    Regional prices is not a steam or SE bug. They are not something u dont notice for 3-4 years and then "fix".
    They are set by publishers that decide that having less is better than having none. And in steam its the publisher who choose prices.
    Publisher set price. Its not a exchange rate, its not steam who choose the price and it clearly not bad cunning abusive russians that set price. Its SE.
    So even if it was mistake for entire steam ff14 lifetime it was SE mistake and they shouldve apologised to all customers for that, give us a notification and 1 month after change price.
    But its look like a scam more than a mistake.
    The timing exactly when we cant refund a 35eur addon (no regional price for addon full cost for everyone). They even broke their own ToS to make sure there would be no refunds. If they announced increased cost in time their addon sales in affected regions wouldve been atleast 3 times lower.
    People complain mostly not because of a cost increase. WOW increased cost too and that is fine. They complain because SE broke ToS. They complain because SE made a greedy scamming move by basically baiting us to buy addon before forcing us out of the game and ignoring us. They complain because of no communication. Still only 1 moderator post. That is why people complain. And we have all rights to do it.
    Even people who can afford subscriptions will probably leave too. Not because of cost, but because of dead FCs, dead raid groups, friends leaving or just because they cant trust SE anymore like i myself cant.
    If there will be no reply, apologies and a stormblood refund for all who want it i will probably never deal with SE again, never recommend their games to anyone.
    Betrayal is the easiest way to turn love into hate. I really liked ff14 but this is not acceptable. Hope SE get punished for that one way or another.
    Ban and post deletion incoming.

    If it was the other way around, if americans got their sub adjusted to more, i'd be sad to have less ppl to play, not care about fairness or not, since i'm not getting affected anyway

    It was a bad move period

    Now, on topic.
    The new prices bite for the players affected by them, there is no denying it. But SE has the right to set the price for their game, regardless of what people think is "fair" or "equal" based on economy, minimum wages, currency conversion or any of those things that have been repeated in this thread a hundred times. I do not dispute that SE is entitled make their prices whatever the heck they what, no matter how negatively it affects their playerbase.

    But as I said about 30 pages ago, what does tick me off (I would love to use stronger language here, but don't want to give the mods an excuse to ban me or delete my posts) is how SE handled this "adjustment." And the list of grievances against SE's customer service policies just keeps growing.

    1- We were given no warning before our sub prices went up. No matter how you spin it, an adjustment where the price goes up is an increase.
    2- After the fact, we were flat out ignored for two days before we got any sort of official response which finally came in the form of a single forum post before they went back to ignoring us.
    3- SE timed the unannounced increase to take effect precisely after the refund period for Stormblood expired. So now large groups of people who paid a decent chunk of money for something can't use it because they can no longer afford the sub and also can't return it.
    4- SE is apparently being very heavy handed in modding this thread, deleting or removing posts which talk about contacting media outlets or insisting on getting their refunds and then banning the people who make them.
    5- Now we come to find out that these new "adjustments" to make sure everyone is paying the "same" sub fees only applies to BR and RU subscribers and that there are other regions out there who are still paying less.

    This whole mess just stinks of, at best, incompetent PR and community management or, at worst, outright unethical business practices on SE's part. And all of this is on top of the fact that we (non-NA/Japan subscribers) are constantly being either quietly ignored or intentionally shafted by SE in terms of customer support.

    Wow, it dawned on you that you were being deceived by the SE....

    I certainly understand that subscriptions in other countries are cheaper, but what they were hurt by Russia and Brazil, that's what I do not understand! A very strange company policy, here smacks of legal proceedings, and I can win a case....

    Quicker and they would warn 45 days before. That's how they see our countries, so let's not forget this and always remember every time we looking to buy a product from SE, this at least is within our power to do.
