They have been deleting a bunch of thread relevant posts that had a "respectful tone" yeah. It's slowed down now because mods are asleep.Whoa, is it just me or is SE removing posts that are suggesting people go to Valve for refunds or encouraging people to spread the word to youtubers/media outlets? I really don't see how such posts could be classed as hostile or argumentative, so what could possibly be their reason for doing so?

Well that bites.
The post I noticed was missing was a really thorough/informative one, wish I had screen-shot it. I just wasn't expecting this kind of underhanded tactics to be honest. You can bet your buttons that I'll be taking pics from now on though, starting with this page.

They've been doing it from the start, had a few of my posts deleted and saw other posts missing too.Whoa, is it just me or is SE removing posts that are suggesting people go to Valve for refunds or encouraging people to spread the word to youtubers/media outlets? I really don't see how such posts could be classed as hostile or argumentative, so what could possibly be their reason for doing so?
They are a bit more permissive now actually, at first anything that was slightly offensive was being deleted.

They deleted a very constructive post from DoppelShifter telling people to not let this get swept under the rug and that Steam has started to say they are investigating refunds instead of flat out saying no.
I missed this post, but it seems that I wrote something similar a few pages ago
Since I noticed from the beginning that they've been deleting posts that asked people to gank them on steam or boycott them I took care not to write things that even imply to these in my more... informative posts, so that it can let people know about what is going on. I have also been asked to promote boycotts or steam downvote gank in the Original Post, but I will not, in order to not give them the openning they need to delete this whole thread. From what I've seen from people that talked to me and people who posted on FB and even here, there are 2 kinds of tickets people are making:
1 - simple asking for a refund: this one has always ended with a decline, since from steam own ToS when selling games, there are very well strict conditions for someone to ask for a refund, and since SE waited exactly 1 month to increase the prices asking for a refund won't do much with don't some argument.
2 - ask for a refund alleging that the game publisher broke their own ToS(4.1 paragraph) and thus you can no longer play the game: People doing this kind of tickets are usually receiving responses like "we will be sending this issue for a proper investigation, we thank you for your patience.", not a denial nor acceptance, which I understand, since Valve is not SE they have no business being up to SE ToS and stuff, then they need to make a proper investigation in order to take a position.
"YOU ARE DREAMMING IF YOU THINK STEAM WILL GIVE YOU A REFUND", nope, I'm not, it has happened before, namely No man's sky and the latest batman game, where even no longer being in the traditional refund policy, Valve understood that the buyers had been tricked by the publishers and either did not receive what they paid for(no man's sky) or could not play the game they paid for(batman).

I'm worried they may be close to that anyways. It seems like SE isn't planning to make a formal statement on this and the current issue is going to get worse later when they apply the change to recurring payments.
Even though this doesn't impact me on a personal level at all it still very much concerns me. I have friends in the game from all over the globe, rich countries and poor. It takes all of them to create the player atmosphere I enjoy in the game. To the executives of SE they may only be a drop in a bucket that they don't care to spill. But to me, a disabled woman who can barely walk, they're treasured friends who help give me insight into aspects of our world I would have not been given the opportunity to learn about otherwise.

Doppelshifter asked me to relay thie following message:
"Hi, DoppelShifter here. I got a one-week ban here in the forums for my last post calling for people to speak up. The justification seems to be that I said the curse-word for "poop" twice in it."
Her post, reproduced below, without cursing:
I'm still waiting for answer on my contacts, but I'll contact some other outlets tomorrow. And meanwhile... whoever can go with this story to any games media outlet to try to help out, go ahead. Also, apparently people who requested refunds to Valve while explaining the situation about the price change without warning and all theREDACTED"[woefully displeasant]" radio silence and ambiguous terms of service, instead of getting a "no refunds" response from Valve, got instead a slightly more hopeful "we will investigate this issue".
So if you or anyone you know did mention they wanted to try to get a refund on Stormblood, even if they already tried that though Square Enix's support, try contacting Valve's support instead, and explaining the whole situation. We might get Valve to make a move to try to plug the hole on their side (because this can become a PR nightmare for them as well), even if its just poking Square Enix to say the corporate equivalent of "Hey dudes, can you please sort yourREDACTED"[things]" out? It's spilling on us over here". And *that* might force Square Enix to act.
And speaking on Steam, the reviews keep lowering. Currently at 47%.
Just to correct my last post, the sub may actually cost 41,99 BRL but that would ve for entry as I tried to do standard and it was more than 47 BRL for me. So what you're telling me now is that we're paying 13,36 for a sub that should cost 12,99? (entry)outrageous. I guess Brazilians are paying more than Americans either way, whether u consider purchasing power or the raw prices huh
If that is the case I hope someone has screenshot of the removed posts (before and after) because I myself will post them on twitter and other media. If they're trying to silence the players, then they know they're wrong and they're not yet posting any official news related to thisWhoa, is it just me or is SE removing posts that are suggesting people go to Valve for refunds or encouraging people to spread the word to youtubers/media outlets? Please do it, sir !If that is the case I hope someone has screenshot of the removed posts (before and after) because I myself will post them on twitter and other media.
