I have yet to confirm sources, but apparently FF14 might have not been the only steam title to get hit buy this. Still waiting on confirmation though.

so if that gets confirmed is it safe to assume that it's steam who did the price change? from my point of view if the price change was done by square wouldn't make sense that mogstation sub would've increased also?

We don't have the same rights since we pay can't pay stuff in USD. OK then.

I can't even pay in CAD... have to have a weird exchange rate. -Sighs-
You understand that problem is not the price itself, but they it was done after 1 month of SB, without any warning, after we bought expansion...they just forced many people to spend a lot of money for them to not be able to pay anymore. Yes. Is they would notify is before SB release about it i would never buy it.
It seems like many of you are missing the point here. It is not about "fairness", it's about scamming users.
Were SE aware of our countries devaluation - yes.
Was they planning to bring subscription price in line with other regions - as we see now yes.
But they did not informed their customers about this, not when they announced Stormblood pre-order and not when people could still get a refund on it.
Now this raises a serious question - was it also their intent that we can't get a refund now that time passed. Beacuse if this doesn't sound like a scam to you, i don't know what is.

Which Europe? The 3 big countries? Or the dozens smaller ones? Because in the dozens smaller ones the average salary is in the same ballpark as in Russia.
I'm assuring you that Belarus and Ukraine don't have 2000$ average salary. Neither do lots of other countries.
That's what I'm trying to say, yes.
