The fact is that salaries in russia are now at the level of 2014, with the dollar rising from 30 rub to $ 57-60rub per $ 1 (1 euro 65-70rub). We did not pay less.

I'm pretty sure Steam will ban you for trying to play "oh, I'm suddently in another region" card. We could use Mogstation to buy optional items for cheap though (through Russian friends), but, in all honesty, people from all across the globe could do the same.
Which is, I think, another reason for a price change (from Square point of view).
What I'm trying to say is that people from many countries which aren't US or UK and have pretty much the same salary as Russia or Brazil were paying 15$ from the start. (And yes, I agree that changing price without warning is unfair.) Not that I'm on the "let everyone pay the same big amount of $$$" side of the barricade. I'd prefer that Ukraine and other countries were paying less too, and prices weren't calculated so roughly.

If you do not know, but the average salary in Russia is 500-700 dollars and in Europe is 1500-2000. Where is the same income? Russians now pay more than Europeans
