Steam payment HUGE price increase!

I fully agree with the majority of players here. I'm from Russia. I want to add, that ffxiv was just the way for me to avoid donate in such game as Aion for example. One of the reasons for joining ffxiv was its rather low price for the month sub. And if the price then was so high, i would NOT EVEN STARTED to play.
I think, that normal price for our region is 550-600Rub.~10$, that is equal to the ruble's exchange rate changes in past 3 years. That would be not so great for us, but rather fair, cause people on non-steam accounts pay incomparably more. The only difference is, that they KNEW FROM THE START, what they must pay, and had a choice not to spend their money for the game itself.
But all I want to ask is, what we actually can do? I don't think SE will be interested in reading forums. So, what do you think we can really do: only drop this game/becoming to pay almost 3.5% from our average monthly wages? Or do you think there is a real possibility to influence this situation?

The only way you'll see any sort of reaction is to cancel your subscriptions. People complaining on the forum is not a terribly high priority. People unsubscribing gets the attention of the entire company and their investors.

Like I said, this will happen if nothing changes from now on, a good reaction too is to give bad review on steam and metacritic, and make this more visible for people out of this community know the scam that SE did, doing this you will not only help the increase of the drop in subscriptions but also gives a bad image for the company (the only thing except money that they care about).

Its more likely will happen around the time everyone subscriptions ends and are not renewed, this will cause noticeable drop in the subscription income and then this will get noticed. However the damage to the game reputation was already done, well at least in countries like ours that they don't care much and don't give much priority to anything, sad but it's the truth. I don't think I'm willing to trust in this company anymore after this.

I'm not sure about this, its a niche of people that were actually afected by this, and there's a lot of people (mostly on reddit) that don't care about the problem and only care that someone is talking bad about their game so they must defend at any cost (But they dont realise that this only shows how much SE cares nothing about their costumers).

I still think that we can do more to damage the game reputation, if spread faster, faster will be the official aswner of Square Enix.

Even if they change back their policy, which I think they don't will, how can we still trust it? What if one year later they come back with the same change but now with previously noticing about it? The point is that expectation toward this company was totally lost to me.

In my opinion, this is actually a good way to get SE's attention. A content creator got wrongfully banned for chargeback. And he specifically said he didn't want things to come to this but it ended up working.

I'll try to back my money wasted on Stormblood on Steam as soon as we get a formal answer for this. Probably I'll not get nothing back, and even if do, I would not expend in another SE game, never again. Even if they change back to the original value we used to pay, how can we still trust this company? I think I may quit FFXIV totally after this, even if they return to the old price, cause we don't know when we are going to get stabbed in the back again, and most likely we will.

Speaking of Steam reviews, it's currently at 66% and still dropping like a rock.

It was at 72% a few hours ago when I started watching, and it had already dropped quite a bit (the lifetime average for FFXIV is 85% positive).
