SE released FF14 in Steam to attract new players from different regions and in these regions publishers set a price based on the average income of the region. I buy everything in Steam cheaper than you. Live with it.

I see many do not understand what is happening? Who among you began to whine that in other countries they pay less in their opinion! Now they have leveled prices despite the standard of living and the level of wages in the countries in the world, so let's: we will have gasoline for you $ 150 per barrel, and in rubles it will cost $ 50 .... then in Russia they will consider what is better Sell for 150 dollars in your opinion? Do not you think that you are insolent to climb with your income to other countries?
If I pay in rubles, then the level of wages in rubles, now according to your taking into account the euro, I have to pay 20% of my salary? Are you kidding me? Just take and raise the price of 300% of the subscription and everything else that is in the store SE ....
Three years did not change the price, then suddenly they took and raised, it looks like some sort of divorce!
PS. Appeal to other players living in other regions, how would you react if your prices were raised by 300%?
Your policy is to equate others for miserable people, why did you come here to say that you are paying more in your country?Prices are fair. Changing it without any prior notification is poor communication. Setting the price to be relative to your income is rubbish. Talk to me about price fairness when you have to pay the same amount I have to pay for my daily necessities.
And this is a Steam issue, not a SE issue. Go ask Steam for the reason. If you ask SE, they will still have to ask Steam and then relay the message anyway.

The funny part is that before 4.05 the price of my non-steam monthly subscription was in USD, now it's in euros. It also caused price increase because of USD-euro exchange rate (1 euro = 0.87 USD). It's not a triple increase but not a pleasant surprise also.

Any official notice from square on this? Just deciding if I should continue to play this game or just buy another from steam, cause here in russia AAA games cost 12-25$. You get more content for that price if you buy another game from steam then paying for subscription. Even blizzard/bungie sells destiny 2 for 31 euro. It's just you get 3+ players for 4 euro/sub or 1 player for 11 euro/sub. SE loses a portion of player base and 5-40% income from those countries.
Sarcasm: Nice way to lessen the stress on servers for ixions and hunts xD
You could buy Heavensward for low-low-LOW price anywhere for years, except Steam. Because HW was on steam sale only 1-2 times in 2 years. Why should i pay full price in Russia if you pay many times less?![]()

This on so many levels. We don't get the same ping, costume support and gameplay experience in general as you guys and yet we have to pay the same price. R$48 isn't a small amount and it's not only just a cup of coffee but a full good meal. Video Games are a luxury, yes, yet we have the right to be upset because this was done without notice and increased the value significantly. It's funny how people in this forum are complaining about so many little things yet we're told to just deal with it in a situation like this lol
Because rational and logical people usually don't post because they are ignored or are target of those same people complaining for insignificant things. I totally agree with you in regard tp the sudden changes because any US company would give you a 2-3 months notice in advance in regard to any changes to the plan, company or increase rates (it is in a separate letter or in our bill statement).
I would say SE is a Japanese company SO things work differently with their laws? What i won't agree with you is the part of continue playing a game you cant afford. There have been times when i just stopped paying for this MMO because I got other priorities. I couldn't afford to pay. One thing it is getting annoying it is the constant 1-2 dollars charge SE does to my bank account when I come back.

Statiscally speaking the majority of the region does. But if we wanna talk languages that most people in general speak, it would be more prudent to do the game in Spanish, Portuguese, or Russian instead of German since those languages are all much more commonly spoken. But German is still a language of choice because Germany and Austria have more wealth on average than much larger countries with more prolific languages like Brazil and Russia do.
