Simple, in MMORPG, player IS content. The less people are subbed, the last people who can play with or against you. In a logical sense, you should to get get as many subscriber as possible.

I think SE will probably say something like. Our recurring fees is still the same. It is the exchange currency conversion of the affected countries that are facing problems.

I am saying this because I used to work in a company that would not take responsibility of any extra charges or monetary value changes in international countries.

they don\\\\'t have any obligation to inform you of a price change beforehand according to their own TOS, complaining from you will not change anything like it or not.

Look at the EU ToS, there is no distinction on wheater the subscription is a one time payment or a recurring fee. Thus Square is indeed supposed to warn with at least 30 days of a price change.

Also whoever was exploiting steam to resell things cheaper will sinply change to the UK mogstation since they pay cheaper for stuff.

Nevertheless, the cheaper prices for some regions were intended, and there are still some regions paying less (UK, AUS, NZ)

The official statement is at best uniformed, and at worse malicious as there is no way Square isnt aware some regions are still paying a cheaper sub which goes against the 1 sub price for the whole world argument

I'd like to call to your attention this thread: Appeal to Square Enix regarding subscription prices for BR and RU. This is part of the actions being discussed between BR players (including me and Doppelshifter) and RU players (including Seturian Wings, from the Chaos server) that I mentioned in my previous post.

As mentioned in it, the intent of this thread is to gauge how much support the cry for a better solution on this matter can get, not to foster discussion; for said discussion, this very thread here already suffices. Please take a read and, if you agree with what's in it, follow the directions at the end of the original post to make a post of your own, showing your support. We believe this will be a good first step towards showing SE how much this matters.

Thank you guys SO MUCH for doing this! It's far better to have a separate thread for all the "discussion" relating to this topic and one just for showing unified support to try to get some reaction from SE.

In that vein, can I remind people to please not engage the trolls/naysayers who ignore the OP and try to pick fights in the other thread? If their posts are inflammatory and contain swearing or otherwise break the forum ToS, just report them (heaven knows SE is deleting our posts and banning us for less) and ignore them.
