I don't think they want crafters to faceroll, they need to have an economy somewhere. Tier 6 is pretty much end gameIf they did make them drop from hunts, it would actually give an incentive to pull a hunt ASAP to keep the number of crystals down and thus inflate the price. We don't need this, it is already hard enough to get to a hunt before someone pulls it. (Not saying they don't have a right to pull it early just saying.)

No it wouldn't. People who pull immediately with hunts are always going to because they don't care. They aren't even doing it for gil, they just want to kill the mob fast and move on to the next one. Adding Cracked Clusters wouldn't change that, it'd just plummet the prices. If they did make them drop from hunts, it would actually give an incentive to pull a hunt ASAP to keep the number of crystals down and thus inflate the price. Why cant they just give us a weekly for one? Or do something along the lines of "5% chance on crafting a 1 star Item to create a random TVI crafting materia". That percent obviously could be lower maybe I dunno.
you really dont need the lvl 6 materia to reach the currently stats.

for 1 and 2 star maybe but what about for people who are doing it early in preparation for 3 and 4 star builds?
Also it doesnt change the fact that crafters and gatherers should be given the same options as battle classes.

If by "early in preparation" you mean people melding for 4-star stats, then that'd be quite silly. We'll definitely be having a new DoH set for that tier of recipes.

That isn't a fact though, it's an opinion. I am not being insulting, just correcting your logic here. Crafting will lever be the same as battle and should not as I explained in this thread
Your crafting gear spiritbonds rather quickly if you craft a lot. It's a reward system for using the gear for its purpose. The default tier is V for 70 gear, but it has a chance of giving you VI, the meld rate is quicker with a pot from ALC HQ only need one materia melded to spiritbond faster (which most of the left side has 2 slots save for belt) and 2 for NQ gear.
I do agree that Yellow scrips should be a used as a reward for Tier 6 but only at a high cost. As much as I hate token bloat, but making it so that you need something like 6000 scrips for a tier 6 would cost about the same (due to mat consumption) as buying it off the marketboard as it goes now. (This tier and probably other ones) Yellow scrip gear was not intended for an omnicrafter, but those who needed to get some kind of gear and not worry about the melds. Or people who wanted to glamour.

For those of you ready to crash the market here is the guide to spiritbonding for profit.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...ets_these_are/
And https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...tbond/dkkzbzk/
So basically it's saying do what you're intended to do - craft items and you will get materia. With the new spiritbond potions and items this isn't as bad as before. If you can't afford to be making HQ gear each time, buy NQ items from the vendor and add 2 materia instead and it will spiritbond at the same rate as 1 HQ gear and 1 materia.
Hope this brings complaints down on materia accessibility and we'll probably see complaints that materia is too easy to get now.![]()

its a figure of speech but anyway...
I'm not saying that they are the same, but I am making the comparison of crafters / gatherers to battle classes because of how battle classes seem to be gifted free materia if they run certain dungeons and not to mention how much easier it is to obtain cracked clusters, even if it is biased towards tanks mostly and sometimes healers.
that was the logic that you were trying to correct.
basically crafters and gatherers should be given the ability to pick up free materia too through some sort of game mechanic which is biased towards rank 5 materia but also has the chance for rank 6 too.
There is still more content and changes to come, so we will have to see what happens next.
