This is kind of a silly or noob post, but how does FFlogs work?
I have cleared Emanation EX (like 3 or 4 days ago) and seen that the level 70 dungeons are there and yet nothing shows up for me. I am on PS4 so have no parsers but with so many always talking about the site figured it could be of some use.

Basically someone in your group has to be running the application that records stuff for FFLogs (ACT maybe?) and actually upload it to the website when the run is done. Even if some groups parse, they may not necessarily upload, so you might not have any data on the site for that reason.

Give the site a scroll through. imo it's a bit jumbled to navigate but it's full of relevant info. It's useful to see what other players are doing what and when, and should you want to, adapt it to your playstyle to try new things. If you pick the right settings you can see every action as it's used in a fight, for every party member. I play on PS4 too btw and I'm dying for an in-game parser to increase my learning speed for relevant content... Pipedreams.

As a follow-up, parsing is technically against ToS? And some people are actively against it, and report people who talk about parsing. I would exercise caution talking about it in game, even if you don't participate.

An in game parser, even if it's just personal, would be nice.

From what I've heard(can't guarantee the accuracy of this since it's second/third hand), SE doesn't really care if people parse on the condition they don't discriminate because of it.

It's not "technically", it IS. Yoshi-P is aware of these things, but SE ultimately is the one holding the purse-strings and the one responsible with setting the Terms of Service. Such third party sites provide all the evidence needed to ban people if they are reported.

That's because there are people who report all that stuff to the forum mods constantly around here.

There is a sizable population of players who think parsing is akin to child murder, and actively report anyone and anything associated with it.

That is also because the community, by and large, cannot be trusted with this. Many of the forum users may be responsible enough for it, that I admit. But I believe a larger portion of the playerbase will use it to negatively affect the community. It already exists. As long as it exists, I do not believe the devs can trust us with this.

Besides, the tools to parse are already there for you. (Sans PS4 users)
