... and I just noticed about Zodiac weapons and decided to go for it and get the dragoon one done. I finished my Atma quest and am on the book for the Animus but I decided to look into exactly how far this can go and there are several upgrades to be acquired. I dug even further and realized that there are several that may be very difficult to do. I also noticed some require hefty gil and I'm not exactly rich. I am merely doing all of this for the self-satisfaction of achieving it albeit late. I intend to do the lvl 60 versions as well but I'm wondering is this something I should attempt seeing as this could take quite a long time to achieve? I've actually put the last few SB MSQ's on hold cause I was getting a bit burnt out on leveling in order to get to the next set. Eventually these Zodiac quests will get tiresome and have to inevitably stop for awhile but is it really worth it -_-.

They have added in alternative versions of the items that don't need gil purchases for the Zodiac and anima weapons. For example, the crafted items that people had to pay 4 million gil for back when the anima weapons launched can now instead be purchased with GC seals.

But yes, they do take a long time to achieve. They took most of us a year or so for the first one. The second one can be done in about a month of grinding.

Don't hold your MSQ back for these weapons. They have a cute story, and they are great for glamours, but they shouldn't be the sole objective while there is MSQ to do.

Well I'm taking a break from Red Mage at the moment in favor of my other love, Dragoon :P unfortuantely my current MSQ is 69 and my red mage is 69 but my dragoon is only 62 >.>. So it's nice to do something different for a change of pace. But ya I'm already on the 4th book for Animus and it's only been 3 days I think? I think they made certain spawns like FATEs spawn more because some of them were said to have taken up to 4 hours for one FATE alone and I was able to get it done within 30 minutes. I will go so far as I can before it requires more gil than I can acquire and move on :P. But to get to where i'm at to me is still a personal achievement worth doing.

The little story for both relics is pretty fun, yes it is a huge time sink for a super pretty glam, but I feel that it is worth it to at least do one of each for the experience of it. Yes the first one is also expensive as heck and can take a while to complete! D: I just got my Sasuke's Blades for my NIN and I love them. But I've been working on them for about 7 months...

Small side note, the 1% chance line they give you for converting your relic to a zodiac weapon is a troll thing, just hit yes unless you want Gerolt to yell at you....more then usual.
