The only thing I remember remotely from letters was that it was a memory problem. Is it still a memory problem years later?

It could be. A thought crossed my mind and while I'm not sure if it effects things or not. I've wondered if the way characters are created has anything to do with it. Be it extra added work or memory issues. All the games character animations, emotes and the big one, facial expressions are digitized instead of being just rendered in 3D like pretty much every other MMO on the market. I think this was done in 1.0 as well which maybe causing the conflicting code. So they would have to first bring up the digitized render for each emote, animation and facial feature and then 3D render the new customization over it. Its possibly why this game will never have sliders due to how many different possibilities that would create.
if we take the BS from yoshi then yes it is even after the "new servers".
but no one here know if its so or not as we never worked on the game. didn't see the net code or servers .
Yeah, because defending the dev team requires understanding, but attacking them (Calling them lazy, etc...) doesn't. Congratulations on winning the internet!
i win nothing so far and i asked if its because they are lazy. understanding of a net code you didn't see, servers you didn't see? all i want if for them do more customization or give the real reason for why not.
And we tried to explain to you that no, it is not because they are lazy but because:
- the code is extremly complicated so its not as easy as you might think
- the game wasnt build with a lot of customization in mind, so the code isnt built for that, so its difficult
- they dont have the resscoures to do everything and they placed new content over more facial options
- not sure if thats still valid but: they're lacking competent staff - and no, "hust hire more people" isnt as easy as you think either because first you need a decent person that you can/want to hire
Again... I would like more options aswell, but I can also see the reason why thats not so easy and why they might think that something else is more important. Tried to explain this to you, as you requested but if all you actually want to hear is "yes, you're right, those people who are working overtime for the game are lazy" I dont know what to tell you
