At the very least they could give hair collision physics so it won't clip.

the current engine can handle hair collision and other customizations features.
However, SE sees that developing other things other than customization like these are more important (i.e., savage, Omega, Extremes, Tome, different armor ilvls, etc etc)
I am not saying either is right or wrong.
All I am saying is Square Enix believes there are more important things to focus on rather than these issues|
Oh, and just because you can "customize" more in "android" games that doesnt mean the game as a whole is better. I've played a lot of games (both on tablet apps and pc games) that had a lot more customization options than FFXIV and those games were complete sh*t
Just throwing that out there too
As stated by Vidu, the user who posted before me and said basically the same thing, but in less details.
And if you take your time to do some research before saying wrong things, you would quickly find that this game runs on a modified version of the 1.0 engine, that was built in 2 years or so (As I stated before). If you truly believe they could've made a whole new engine from scratch in 2 years, while also patching and creating content for 1.x, you seriously don't know anything about coding.
Also, I played BDO and BnS, and followed pre-release news for both back then. Those games engines were not built in 2 years based on a bad engine not designed for MMORPGs.
And as Vidu stated as well, any game that has a decent enough engine built from scrap/zero can have better customization.
Clearly they are able to add more options to each of the presets - otherwise we would not get new hairstyles every few updates. I do not think it is too much to ask of SE for them to add more presets for ALL of our customization options.
That's bringing personal taste and personal preference in a discussion that doesn't involve it. FXIV might be better to you but to someone else those android games might make FFXIV look like complete s**t to them. I've played a lot of games too, some with more customization options then FFXIV some with less. Yes some in both camps to me make FFXIV look like garbage. But that's personal opinion. The question is why is a game that's major standpoint is glamor and looking amazing not have the tool set to fully take advantage of both.Oh, and just because you can "customize" more in "android" games that doesnt mean the game as a whole is better. That's a reasonable request. However, most of the other customization options that could be added the same way as hairs aren't noticeable enough in game to make SE put more attention in making them, as someone said before, customization options is not viewed as a priority when allocating development resources.
No problem. But that's what I said on my first post, but in somewhat different words, as I said this game's engine is built using the 1.0 engine, I worded it poorly tho, so I apologize as well. Anyway, the problem is, the base engine for this game is as old as 2008-2009 at least, and was created under the supervision of a different director and producer, who thought basing the whole game content on levequests and not having jump in game was a good decision, so... As I said, unless the team can completely overhaul at least some part of the engine, customization options that can be compared to BnS at least (BDO is kinda impossible, the customization is crazy in that game) is not happening.

They're noticeable enough to me and everyone else who's asked for more customization in the past. (And those threads have gotten LONG!)That's a reasonable request. Honestly SE doesn't need you making excuses for them.
