Stormblood 1* and 2* Crafting Macros

Hi everyone! One star and Two star crafting is quite easy as everyone has pointed out so far. Consequently I'm currently using a lazy NQ food macro for all my work right now. While using these you should HQ 1-2 of your base ingredients and then make your final product. There are safer macros out there and I'll work to post my impression on them. But for now here are my lazy Macros using NQ Tempura and no food!

Note I've updated the macros with everything needed. Right now I typically do all my intermediate parts with the "Slight RNG" macro as it will HQ parts with all NQ ingredients very frequently (over 90% of the time) and then finish my equipment with my No RNG macro. The No RNG macro has a built in ToT to protect again poor as well, so it will HQ every time so long as you start with 2k quality (and don't lag and miss a step). Please note if you are prone to lagging you should change your wait times on everything to 4 seconds. This helps protect against lagspikes, but will slow your macro down a bit. If anyone has questions let me know!

Also thanks to everyone doing theory craft on the boards. These rotations are a composition of techniques and adjustments from a number of people!

Also here are two efficient meld sets you can use with my rotations, they minimize materia usage and do not require specialist soulstones:
NQ Tempura Meld Recommendations (No VIs, No V overmelds, no penta melded accessories):

HQ Tempura Meld Recommendation (No VIs, No V overmelds, no penta melded accessories, and can be directly upgraded to the NQ Tempura melds if desired).

Kat's 2* NQ Tempura Macro No RNG 100% HQ with 2000 Quality - Best for HQing end Products:
Required stats 1330 Craftsman and 510 CP || Character stats 1288 Craftsman, 467 CP, and NQ Tempura Platter

Kat's 2* NQ Tempura Macro Slight RNG 90% HQ with 0 Quality - Best for HQing Materials:
Required stats 1320 Craftsman and 512 CP || Character stats 1278 Craftsman, 469 CP and NQ Tempura Platter

Kat's 1* No Food Macro Slight RNG 95% HQ with 0 Quality - Easy one star crafting with cheep or no food:
Required stats 1250 Craftsman and 472 CP

Here are the macros for each. Note I recommend using /ac "Tricks Of The Trade" <wait.4> rather than the minimum 3 seconds, as I have seen 3 seconds cause issues (since ToT is a very lengthy animation).

While using Patient Touch early negates the potential loss of stacks, what do you do to compensate if you possibly fail both PTs?

i prefer a less RNG rotation even if its not 100% well to be fair you anyway wouldnt start a 2 star craft from zero HQ.
1-2 HQ precrafts and you good to go.

I'm relatively new as I've joined FFXIV late in the HW xpac. Right now, I'm sitting at 1310/1209 (without food or tea) with the full right side over-melded minus the primary / secondary tool. I'll be able to meld my accessories probably this afternoon (need 3 lvls on my CPR). Is there a specific break point that I need to be aiming for? Also, I don't have access to the simulator at work and was wondering if I've deciphered the abilities correctly posted from SmallHobbit.

Your macro has enough room for poor protection. If you put "/ac "Tricks Of The Trade" <wait.4>" like Kat did before the Ingenuity II line, it will catch any potential excellents and keep BB from landing on a poor.

In general I simply HQ two materials for the final craft (roughly 3.5k quality). So I use this macro enough times for intermediary materials to be partially HQ and then use this macro for the finisher. If I fail both the macro can absorb a 3.5k Quality loss. The question would be, well why don't you just work with a macro which hits closer and requires X quality... which is something I'm looking into. The reason I didn't prefer that off the start is because I like to be able to lazy through all NQ materials. and HQ intermediary materials... which this macro is capable of doing with NQ food.

Basically its my set of worst practices of someone who has been crafting... way way too long. None the less it works really effectively

I've tested these macros and they work nicely, Katty.

So basically, we can't reach 100% HQ using pure NQ mats while using all 100% secure steps. But we can gamble a bit with crafted mats. So we start off with pure NQ raw mats, use a little RNG to get slightly more power in the rotation. If it works, it works. If not, no big deal. We'll end up with the majority being HQ crafted mats and a small amt of NQ crafted mats. Then for the final product, we go for a slightly less powerful rotation (like the one cgbspender have up there too), but uses all 100% secure steps, utilizing our HQ crafted mats. Correct?

Huggles Caimie. Your observation is pretty much accurate. Specialist can pull of 100% HQ, with all NQ and 100 secure steps with a beautiful macro, while non-specialist have to prep ALOT. Details for both situations are below:
    1) If you are a specialist there is enough extra CP to use Ingenuity II on Byregot's and 4 quality steps to blast up to 16000 control while still only using NQ Tempura.
Tesla and Tayolor/Whale showed this in http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post4317413
Which is a really great macro with poor protection.
    2) If you use Max CP, HQ Tempura and Cunning Craftsman's Tea you can squeeze out enough quality to hit the 15000 requirement with all NQ materials.
    Ermad showed this in http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post4314991
Its a great macro as well, the downside is there is no poor protection on Byregot's, which means you either suffer a small amount of RNG (probably ~1 to 2% NQ rate) or you have to split it into four macros.
So for specialist classes you are probably best off finishing your level 70 quest and using Tesla/Tayolor's macro. For non specialist classes its a wash. You can choose to spend some extra money and time on making HQ food and HQ tea's, and using a four part macro. Or you can use NQ Food and as you said Caimie just HQ a few things for a 100% synth. And that's exactly what I'm doing right now, just using the NQ food macro with ~2k starting quality. Its too cheep and easy for me to bother with much else.
