Already did this once, I shouldn't have to do it again.

    I totally agree.

    Even if Square didn't have a way to track Crafting synths (unlike Battle / Combat Kills) before this patch, since they *are* crediting all Disciples of War & Magic with their Combat Achievements garnered from Day 1 until now, on principle, they should to the same for Disciples of the Hand and Land.

    A simple solution someone brought up would be:

    * Square knows how much EXP is required to level from Level 1 --> to 50. Just grant an average EXP value (something fair (e.g., ~200 - 300 EXP per Synth / Attempt)) and calculate the # of Synths that is.

    * Credit all the Gatherers and Crafters up to their current Level.



    It's true that we may still craft and make items after this patch (of course), but for those of us that are Level 50, the sheer # of Synths / Attempts / Chops, etc. is something very few have the incentive to do all over again.

    Crafting is boring enough, but redoing 5,600 Synth Attempts is ludicrous.

    I hope Yoshida-san and team considers a fair and equitable solution for Gatherers and Crafters on this issue. Thanks.

    It's not really a problem. You earn these achievements over your entire game carreer. You're not supposed to be able to bang them all out in a few days.

    OP chiming in, First the discussion is kind of getting a little off track from the looks of it. I never wanted SE to give us all the achievements right up front. Bottom line SE knows it takes an average amount of synths to go from zero to 50. They could of used that as a base to calucate the number and then scaled it down each level so people for example only made it to 45 would still get some form of credit. I would of been happy with something, anything, but instead SE took the lazy way out and did nothing. They're were people who spent many, many hours crafting and gathering since launch of the game and put their fair share of work in while a good chunk of the game did not. I personally think its a slap in the face by SE to do nothing about this and not put any effort into to fixing this.

    P.S. Yes I know the gathering achievements are pretty insane compared even to the crafting achievements. I'm not expecting even close to 50% credit on those but again anything is better than nothing.

    If they had some sort of system in place to remember how many nodes we have gathered and where...much like they can keep track of how many Mobs we've killed than we wouldn't be having this problem.

    Regardless I can't forsee them doing anything about this. I think us Gathering and Crafting classes will just have to suck it up and deal. I think I'll start a new Gathering class to get a Golden item as I have NO desire to actively try to get my Golden Pick Axe now that I'm 50.
