    Aetherytes and Anima

    At the House of the Fierce, , Alphina says that the restored aetheryte "...should prove a boon for travel─well, for those replete with anima like you, at least…" He says something similar when you reach the city of Ala Mhigo. I don't remember hearing anima used in this context before, and I was a bit surprised.

    It was the resource used to teleport between aetherytes in 1.0, and fills the same purpose in the story. The WoL has enough anima to teleport frequently, normal people(based on something Tataru said in 3.0) can only do it sparingly before getting sick and needing to rest.

    Ah, okay. I missed that line in 3.0, so I was kind of confused. Thanls for the explanation.

    At least around the Ul'dah Aetheryte, theres a lalafellin brass blade that will explain anima and why its important/used in travelling.

    There will be something of that extent in all of the starting cities just not brass blades... I think Grid has a Wood Wailer and Limsa has whatever it's called for their non grand company soldiers

    And then there's poor Thancred, who's anima was damaged in his cross country lifestream trip, and supposedly is unable to use any aetheryte travel now
