Spear (or cards in general) might bring more dps overall throughout the fight, that is for sure, but it still an unreliable source of dps since it's RNG.



At least Chain Strategem can be hold to bring significant DPS boost when you need unlike the AST. If you have your spear/balance aoe ready and want to keep it for that dps check in 2min, that mean you can't buff at all for two mins. If you use it, you know there's a non trivial chance that you won't get an aoe dps boost card for the dps check.

Also, you forsee many things, we can draw every 30sec, but it's random, you might as well draw 10 ewer bole and spire in a row. And it does happen, I've done several susano with not a single balance or Arrow. (aoe ewer power)
You point at the mana regen utility but again, if you use ewer, you can't RR your next potential dps card.

AST needed a nerf on one thing, and that thing was balance.
SCH needed an overall buff and they got it. We can argue that Aldo still cost too much mana but the gap between the two job is much narrower now.

And we got a useless rework on speed of light... omg what a crap skill.
So what, now we need to waste essential dignity to reduce that crap skill CD?

p.s I was actually fearing a nerf on grounded star but I'm happy they didn't touch it.
