    What in Savage Omega could possibly make Monk play differently than it does now?

    So the reason for no changes to Monk, right out of Yoshi's own mouth, is that they'll shine in Savage Omega.
    But what in the world could possibly make this true? Unless a boss needs to be stunned indefinitely with One Ilm punch, I can't see what will happen that'll make them suddenly much stronger than they are in current raids.

    Is this just SE talking out of their ass again, no wanting to admit that something just might not be working as intended?

    Maybe mobility will shine with wind tackle with the add in O3, or the boss move move more in O1? Or maybe you'll have to knock back the boss in O3 when she does Ribbit to make sure there's a safe place to stand with other AOEs happening? Honestly I'm having a hard time thinking of anything that will make them shine that doesn't make them mandatory (which is something I think they want to avoid)

    That's what I'm saying. Even my example of bosses needing to be infinitely stunned by One Ilm punch wouldn't happen, because it would be too catering to groups with Monk.
    I guess we'll see in a day, but I do see their performance changing drastically unless the fight is 100% catered to their strengths.

    I don't want to be that guy but Monks currently do great right now as far as the DPS ladder does.

    They're neck and neck with Ninja, a job with 100% uptime buff, great utility and and almost no punishment through boss mechanics.

    Trick attack alone solidified Ninja in every single raid group out there. Brotherhood on the other hand, is extremely limited. It only effects physical, it's on a longer CD than trick attack, and all it gives you is higher RNG to get off more Forbidden Chakras, which can be really good, or really bad.

    I guess mathematically if you always use One Ilm Punch, in theory this means you should have a 16% incoming damage decrease because the boss is stunned? I come by this estimate because it's a 1s stun and with GL3 and no Riddle of Fire Monk cooldown easily around 2 seconds flat, so 6 seconds for a full rotation; 1 of which the enemy is stunned. If this stops auto attacks, and other raid-wide incoming spells or mechanics then potentially this is cool - but this seems a bit OP as well and will need to be tested. Maybe a 4 monk team barely takes on incoming damage nearly permastunning a boss to death? Something tells me that if this became a thing, Square would put an end to it quickly.

    I don't see how tackle mastery can be made useful though. Also, Omega Savage is one fight. Is it the only one that'll put this skill to use? I'd love to test Monk utility
